Located in Winter Park, FL just north of downtown Orlando, Gateway Church is a vibrant and diverse community of Christ-followers from across Central Florida. Celebrating 60+ years of worship, community, disciple-making and ministry Gateway is a church home that provides a place for people to come to know Christ and to grow in a personal relationship with him as a part of a loving and encouraging church family that reaches out near and far to share the Good News of life in Jesus Christ.

We are people with all kinds of backgrounds and experiences (both good and bad) who are united together through the common bond of forgiveness, love and transformation that we experience through Jesus. We invite you to come and experience life in a community of everyday people who are experiencing exceptional freedom, real relationships, and fulfilling personal growth as we journey together in the life that God has given us.

Sundays

9:55 am: Personal Prayer in the Sanctuary—Acknowledge God First

10:00 am: Weekly worship service in the Worship Center.

11:30 am: Life Groups for adults and students, and JaM (Jesus and Me) in the Childcare Building.

tuesdays

11:00 am: Weekly Prayer. Join us as we gather for our weekly time of prayer. Enter through the Fellowship Hall doors off the porch. Join us for lunch at a local restaurant after our prayer time. Email us at letspray@entertolive.org to share a prayer request or for more information.

Wednesdays

6:30 pm: Men and Women’s Bible studies. Various other activities, Bible Studies, and dinners throughout the year.

Location and Buildings

Gateway is located just east of I-4 exit 87 on the corner of Fairbanks Ave and Formosa Avenue in Winter Park. The Gateway Campus is composed of four primary buildings:

Worship Center: Located on the north side of the campus along Fairbanks Ave.

Childcare Building (L-Building): Facilities for children, birth through fifth grade, located along-side of the Worship Center in the middle of the campus buildings.

Phillips Building: Two-story building with Meeting Rooms, Fellowship Hall, and Kitchen located on the south side of the campus.

Christian Life Center (Gym): Attached to the west side of the Phillips Building

Parking

Gateway has two parking lots one off of Fairbanks Ave and the other off of Formosa Ave. The Fairbanks Lot is the primary lot for our Worship Center and also has access to the Childcare Building. The Formosa Lot is the primary lot for access to the Phillips Building and Gym. You may park in any lot and follow the signs to any of our campus buildings.

Pastor

Bruce Mayhew, Pastor

Hello I am Bruce Mayhew, a follower of Christ, who is happily married to my beautiful wife, Julie. I am blessed with three incredible daughters that bring great joy and wonderful drama to our lives. I am also privileged to be the Pastor of a wonderful congregation of followers of Christ at Gateway Church in Winter Park, FL. I love to teach–not only at Gateway, but also as an adjunct professor at the Orlando Extension of the Baptist College of Florida. I volunteer as a mentor at Killarney Elementary School and serve on the Orange County Public School's Faith-Based Advisory Council. I would love to meet you and I welcome you to come and be our guest here at Gateway.

I have previously served as Pastor of Olivet Baptist Church in Dublin, GA and Our Savior's Community Church in Oviedo, FL. I was ordained at Northland Church in Longwood, FL where I served as the Director of the Sanford Ministry Center. The ministry center concept was a precursor to the current distributed church model. I was born in Conway, Arkansas and raised in Santa Ana, California and Warner Robins, Georgia. I graduated from the University of Georgia (B.S. Psychology) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDIVBL).
